Finding Directions to the End of C&O
Today we finished the C&O towpath, making it to Cumberland, MD. I had always heard about the Cumberland Gap; it was very visible as we bike into town after a 60-mile bike trip. I thought I was done, then I looked at the hotel reservation. It was another 4 miles up a hill. Yet, the town of Cumberland looked inviting, so we took a taxi back into town to walk around and have dinner at a place called “Uncle Jack’s.” Most the day was very pleasant. Seeing History: Old and New
June 27, 2022 We have arrived in Hancock, Maryland. Though the rain really didn’t fall on us today, the towpath had received rain over night. So, most of the day, we road on a wet towpath. Our bike, and us, were covered in mud by the time we got to the hotel. Part of the trip was taking a detour to see the battlefield of Antietam, the bloodiest day in the Civil War. Today is a day spent flying across the country we will spend the next eight weeks biking across. We are flying form Portland to Chicago, then onto Norfolk, Virginia. Our friends Wyatt a

It was in Bethany that Jesus stayed with his friends, Mary, Martha and Lazarus. On one visit, Mary was listening to Jesus’ teaching while Martha was busy. There we learn to take time with the Lord. On another time, Jesus was anointed by
